LaMP was the featured music on The Point’s Local Music showcase this week.  Russ Lawton (drums) and Ray Paczkowski (keyboards) of Trey Anastasio’s band and their own duo Soule Monde, are joined by guitarist Scott Metzger (Wolf!, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead) and together the three make up LaMP.

The program opens with “Somedays” from the trio’s debut self-titled studio album. Then we feature four songs from their new “Live at Nectars” album. “Out Of Curiosity,” “Jody Grind,” “Clipse Dog,” and “Ramblin” were all recorded by Ben Collette live at Nectar’s over two shows in November 2023. The band picked their favorite performances from the two nights, which were mixed and mastered here at TRS to create the double LP set “Live At Nectars”
