Announcing “Tank tapes” live performance video series

Introducing “Tank Tapes,” a new video series featuring intimate artist performances live from our studio in collaboration with Cabin46.

The first three episodes, featuring performances by Lowell Thompson, Willverine and Soule Monde, are now streaming on our YouTube channel, with more to come soon!

The idea for “Tank Tapes” came about during COVID-19 quarantine back in the early summer. Despite some remote work that barely kept us afloat, all in person sessions were cancelled, performance venues closed and the music industry was hit hard.

Live streams began popping up and became quite popular on social media. Wanting to showcase the breadth of local talent from the studio we commissioned Bruce Gibbs of Cabin46 to do video production. In our early discussions it became clear that we both wanted to put out the highest quality content possible. We made the decision not to do live streams but rather post-production, edited clips of live performances from the studio, filmed in stunning 4K video with high resolution audio. The results are the first three episodes of our new series, “Tank Tapes.”

These sessions were produced at no cost to the artist and made possible by a grant from the owner of our building, Glenn Eames, whose support of our business and the music community has been invaluable and inspirational in this time of need.

Soon we will offer digital downloads of the audio recordings from the performances and in 2021 we plan to collaborate with our friends at Burlington Record Plant to create a limited edition vinyl pressing that will benefit local non-profit organizations.

In the meantime, check out the first three episodes below and be sure to subscribe to our Tank Tapes YouTube Channel to stay up to date on future episode releases.
