LCES & TRS LIVE PRESENT:
Songwriters In The Round – A Live Recording
08.22.2026
Join us for another installment of TRS LIVE with Lakeshore Community Event Series as we record six songwriters in the round, live with a studio audience!
Featuring LCES 2026 Songwriter Competition winners Blake Matteson and Koa Phoenix, as well as runners up Andriana Chobot, Andrew Lafrenz and Tod Pronto – hosted by Steve Hartmann.
Blake Matteson is an up-and-coming artist from Northern Vermont who won studio time through a songwriting competition last year and used that to record her first batch of original songs – currently available on all streaming platforms.
Koa Phoenix is a rootsy, pulse-driven singer-songwriter and multi-genre artist based in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Her emotional sound blends acoustic storytelling, soulful edge, and R&B roots
Andriana Chobot is an independent singer-songwriter, pianist, and actor based in Burlington, Vermont. She is recognized for her expressive alto voice, theatrical performance flair, and genre-blending original music.
Andrew Lafrenz is a VT based singer/songwriter who writes raw, honest songs rooted in real life and the roads that shape us
Tod Pronto is a singer/songwriter from the Green Mountains of Vermont. Funny, insightful, authentic and energetic – he is the perfect mix of modern and traditional folk.
Steve Hartmann is a VT based singer-songwriter, by way of Philadelphia who passionately captivates with a medicinal vocal conviction – described as the grey between Damien Rice and Dave Matthews, Dermot Kennedy and Matt Maeson.
Doors open at 6:30PM for the 7PM two set performance.
We offer an affordable selection of soda, water and light snacks including CBD drinks from our friends at Taunik.
BYOB is welcome.
A very limited number of tickets are available. Click here for tickets!
As we are in the studio making a recording for these artists, ticket proceeds directly support the album’s creation.
If you’d like you can opt to choose a ticket that will include a copy of the live recording via a download link, which will be emailed upon its completion.
After the show, should you wish to receive a copy of the recording but purchased a ticket that does not include a copy of the recording, please speak with a member of staff. A copy of the recording is an additional $10. We accept cash or Venmo on-site.
